1 antique World War II Imperial Japanese Navy Samurai Officer’s gendai kai-gunto sword. This World War II Japanese Naval Officer’s katana would make an important addition to any collection.
This sword is signed by the swordsmith. There is no arsenal mark on the tang. This sword was traditionally-made. The two-character signature reads ‘Masanobu‘. This sword has a wavy temper line. The blade measures 24 3/8″ (61.9 cm) from blade tip to notch in the blade spine.
All fittings have matching assembly numbers–the number stamped on each is ‘439’. The nakago/sword tang has this same assembly number painted on one side. This Naval Officer’s kai-gunto sword has an Officer’s tassel.

1 antique World War II Japanese Army Samurai Officer’s gendai shin-gunto sword. This sword was made by Ishido Teruhide.
This sword is signed, ‘Ishido Teruhide Saku’. The blade was cleaned of rust, so I am unsure if there is a temper line remaining.
The blade measures 26 9/16″ (67.5 cm) from blade tip to notch in the blade spine.
All sword fittings have matching assembly numbers. The number ‘294‘ is stamped into each fitting. Next to the assembly number is a Japanese character.

1 antique World War II Japanese Army Samurai Officer’s shin-gunto sword. This sword has an old family blade–estimated to be from the 16th to 17th Century. The sword blade itself would have been carried by true samurai. This fine World War II Japanese Army Officer’s katana would make an important addition to any collection.
This sword has a beautiful suguha/straight temper line. A fine wavy hada (grain) is visible in the blade. This fine sword is not signed.
The blade measures 24 5/16″ (61.8 cm) from blade tip to notch in the blade spine.
All sword fittings look to have matching assembly numbers. The number appears to be a ‘7’ or a ‘1’. Note that there are 8 seppa. Also, at one time, there had been a family mon on the kashira.
The metal saya has a leather combat cover on it.

1 exceedingly rare early Mantetsu/Manchurian Railroad World War II Japanese Samurai Army Officer’s sword. This fine earliest variation Manchuria Railway symbol-marked katana would make an important addition to any collection.
The nakago/tang is marked with the Manchurian Railway symbol. The reverse side is dated Spring, 1939.
All military fittings are of excellent quality. The blade measures 26 5/16″ (66.8 cm) from blade tip to notch in the blade spine. The metal saya has a fine lacquered finish. This sword has a thick pierced tsuba.
This sword has a straight temper line.
The nakago’s mune/spine is stamped ‘N574“. The bottom edge of the habaki is stamped with the same matching number ‘N574‘.

This helmet, as mentioned, is made with 8 iron plates–riveted together. The hand-stitched cloth liner is still partially in place. The inner part of the visor is covered in old red lacquer. The helmet rim running from the sides of the kabuto to the back is covered in black lacquer.
