1 rare World War 2 Robeson U.S.M.C. Mark 2 fighting knife. This early War Robeson Mark 2 combat knife would make a rare addition to any collection.
This Mark 2 variation has red and black spacers next to the guard and pommel. The blade on the Robeson USMC was originally blued.
The blade measures 7″. The knife is marked ‘ROBESON SHUREDGE’ on the front tang. The reverse tang is stamped ‘U.S.M.C.’.
The scabbard on a Robeson USMC Mark 2 needs to have black stitches—which this knife does have. Also the pommel has the correct welded tang.

1 U.S. World War 2 Case V-42 stiletto. This V-42 is a premium example–for the most advanced collections.
This Case V-42 has the long sheath. The sheath was darkened by the soldier who carried it for night operations.
The blade on this knife measures 7 3/8″–its full original length.
This knife was used by the First Special Service Force. Frank Trzaska notes in his article “The Case V-42 Stiletto” which appeared in the April 1998 edition of KnifeWorld, that “The U.S. Special Forces (Green Berets) use the V-42 in their Distinctive Insignia, their Unit Crest and in their shoulder patch.” The Case V-42 is a coveted and classic U.S. fighting knife.

Anderson made fighting knives for World War 2 using blades cut from Patton swords. This knife was made with the base section of the Patton sword. The front ricasso is stamped ‘L.F.&C. 1918’. The flaming bomb mark is stamped there as well. The reverse side is stamped ‘U.S. No.13’.
The handle is marked ‘ANDERSON GLENDALE, CALIFORNIA’. The reverse side is marked ‘MADE IN USA’.
