1 U.S. World War 1/World War II Mark 1 trench knuckle knife. This trench fighting knife was made in France for the U.S. Army, and is marked ‘AU LION’ on the tang. The lion image is stamped just above the Au Lion mark. This knife would make an important addition to any collection.
This knife measures 11 3/8″ overall. The blade itself measures 6 5/8″. ‘U.S. 1918’ is marked on the handle.
The soldier that carried this knife ground the guard flat so that the knife had a low profite while carrying it.

The knife’s blade tang is stamped ‘WESTERN BOULDER, COLO. PAT.NO.1,967,479’. This knife measures 10 3/16″ overall. The blade itself measures 6″ to the guard. This knife has the less commonly found flat round pommel.

This knife did not have a scabbard when the collector who owned it originally bought it. The collector bought a modern reproduction scabbard for this knife. This replacement scabbard is pictured in the listing, and comes with the knife.
