1 U.S. World War 2 Case V-42 stiletto. This V-42 is a premium example–for the most advanced collections.
This Case V-42 has the long sheath. The sheath was darkened by the soldier who carried it for night operations.
The blade on this knife measures 7 3/8″–its full original length.
This knife was used by the First Special Service Force. Frank Trzaska notes in his article “The Case V-42 Stiletto” which appeared in the April 1998 edition of KnifeWorld, that “The U.S. Special Forces (Green Berets) use the V-42 in their Distinctive Insignia, their Unit Crest and in their shoulder patch.” The Case V-42 is a coveted and classic U.S. fighting knife.

1 rare unfinished Anderson WW2 fighting knife. This unfinished Anderson fighting knife would make a rare acquisition for any collection.
Anderson made fighting knives for World War 2 using blades cut from Patton swords. This knife was made with the base section of the Patton sword. The front ricasso is stamped ‘L.F.&C. 1918’. The flaming bomb mark is stamped there as well. The reverse side is stamped ‘U.S. No.13’.
The handle is marked ‘ANDERSON GLENDALE, CALIFORNIA’. The reverse side is marked ‘MADE IN USA’.

1 battle theater-marked U.S. World War 2 Western L77 Stiletto fighting knife. This desirable U.S. fighting knife would make an important addition to any collection.
The knife handle was marked by the G.I. or Marine that carried it with the theaters he was involved in ‘Pearl Harbor, Guam, Gibraltor, and France‘. The scabbard was marked by the soldier ‘Pearl Harbor, Guam, Panama, and France‘.
The soldier’s name and serial number are also stenciled on the front of the sheath.
The knife’s blade tang is stamped ‘WESTERN BOULDER, COLO. PAT.NO.1,967,479’. This knife measures 11 1/4″ overall. The blade itself measures 6 15/16″ to the guard.
