An armor piercing tanto has a blade approximately 3 times the normal tanto thickness. This armor piercer measures 1.7 cm (11/16”). Photo 1 above shows this yoroi doshi lying next to a full-size katana.
The nakago is not signed—the saya does, however, have a sayagaki.
The blade nagasa measures 6 11/16” (17 cm). The blade has an attractive hamon with flying temper.

This sword was made by Tenryoshi Yoshitaka. This sword has a wonderful and beautiful hada. The hamon/temper line is suguha. The blade’s cutting edge/nagasa measures 26 1/4″ (66.3 cm).

This pre-1597 A.D. samurai sword is unsigned. This sword has a wonderful and beautiful hada. The hamon/temper line is suguha. The blade’s cutting edge/nagasa measures 27 3/4″ (70.5 cm). This sword’s mounts are of exceptional quality and condition. Note that they are early–the fittings have a deep red color.
The saya is a special lightweight wood saya–finely lacquered in a brick red Army sword color.

This sword was made by Yoshiaki. There is the showa stamp above the signature, indicating this sword made in 1942 or before. This sword has a wavy temper line. The blade’s cutting edge/nagasa measures 25 1/4″ (64.1 cm). This sword’s mounts are in exceptional condition.
