1 hard-to-find U.S. World War 2 combat knife available. This knife is described by collectors as the ‘short combat knife with M6-type sheath’. This ID’d knife would make an important addition to any military knife collection.
The knife offered here is a fine example of this combat model. The handle and sheath have matching serial numbers ‘349’. The wood handle is stamped on each side with this number. In addition, the soldier marked his name on the pommel ‘JOSEPH HENNESSY’. The blade has the usual mark ‘BCD’ engraved in electric pencil.
This knife has a brass pommel and an iron guard. One side of the blade is flat on these knives. The other side has a raised middle ridge. The short scabbard is made in the same style as the early M3 trench knife’s M6 scabbard. The scabbard is stamped with the soldier’s name again, as well as his unit ‘JOSEPH JOHN HENNESSY F. C. 1/C DIV F’ (Fire Controlman First Class in a ship’s Division F).

This sword is unsigned. There is no arsenal stamp on this sword. The blade measures 26 1/2″ (67.3 cm) (measured properly from the blade tip to the notch in the blade spine).
This Army katana has a fine wavy hamon/temper line. The old saya/scabbard is wooden with black lacquer. The two sides of the wood saya were taped together by the vet. The two sides just need to be glued.

1 vintage pre-WW2 thru WW2 Japanese katana sword available. This katana has a dragon horimono/carving on the blade. This gendai katana would make a fine addition to any collection.
This gendai sword is unsigned. There is no arsenal stamp on this sword. This katana measures 26 1/8″ (66.4 cm) (measured properly from the blade tip to the notch in the blade spine).
This gendai katana has a straight hamon with the design of Mt. Fuji incorporated into the hamon about 8″ back from the blade tip. The old Samurai saya/scabbard is wooden with gold and black lacquer.
The front side of the blade has horimono/carving of a dragon chasing the sacred ball or flaming/magical pearl. The reverse side of the blade has a sanskrit character.

This 19th century French sword is of exceptional quality. The grip is made of ebony wood. The front ricasso is stamped ‘Klingenthal‘. The reverse is stamped ‘Coulaux a&c‘.
This sword measures 27″ long. There is no scabbard with this sword. The double-fullered blade itself measures 21 11/16″ long.

This sword measures 27 1/2″ long. There is no scabbard with this hunting sword. The double-fullered blade itself measures 22″ long.

1 vintage U.S./Canadian World War 2 Case V-42 stiletto. A First Special Service Force V42 would make a centerpiece knife in any collection.
This Case V42 has the long sheath with it. The blade on this knife measures 7 3/32″. The leather under the guard was cut away during the War by the soldier that carried this knife.
This knife is ID’d. The back of the sheath has the soldier’s serial # stenciled on it. The serial # is kind of hard to read, but I am getting ‘W-0218’. If I am correct, I believe this is a Canadian serial #.
