1 rare complete ca.1920’s Tomahawk hatchet/hunting knife combo. It is super rare to have such a complete antique Clinton, Mass. Tomahawk. This combo would make an important addition to any collection.
This antique ca.1920’s Tomahawk hand axe is ingenious in that the hunting knife is stored in the hatchet’s handle. In addition, this hatchet knife combo comes with its original leather sheath. There are two Tomahawk accessories that would be pretty much impossible to find still: an original Tomahawk brand book of matches, and a working Tomahawk brand compass!
The knife tang is stamped ‘TOMAHAWK CLINTON, MASS.’. The knife has a 4 3/16″ blade. The knife measures 7 13/16″ overall. The knife pommel has the inlayed image of a Native American chief. The knife is released from the hatchet handle by pressing on a spring in the pommel. The hatchet measures 11 1/2″ overall. The original owner’s name is written on the sheath and on the matches.
