This Japanese WW2 NCO sword leather knot is in exceptional condition! There is surface crazing on the leather of course–all is solid, and is at no risk of damage. The leather is soft and pliable. This knot could be carried in the field today.

1 traditionally-made, water-tempered Japanese WW2 gendai sword by Ikkansai Kunimori available. Kunimori’s art name was Yasuhiro while he was at the Yasukuni Shrine. This fine antique Japanese sword would make an important acquisition for any collection.
The blade measures 26 3/16″ from blade tip to notch in the blade spine. This is a traditional gendai sword–there are no arsenal or Showa stamps on the nakago.
Yasuhiro/Kunimori made mostly swords with suguha/straight hamons—this sword has a wavy hamon, quite rare for Kunimori.
