Description
1 vintage U.S. Vietnam War Seven Inch Recon combat knife by Japan Sword. This is one of the rarest SOG knives–arguably the rarest, as only 3 or 4 are known to exist. This fine vintage SOG fighting knife would make an exceptional addition to any collection.
John Gibson comments on his site about this model:
“Seven Inch Recon made by Japan Sword and so marked on the ricasso. It has a blue blade and comes with the original scabbard. Only a couple of these are know to exist.”
The knife blade measures 7″. This knife measures 11 3/4″ overall. The blade is blued. The ricasso is stamped ‘JAPAN SWORD’.
The sheath, of course, is original to the knife.
CONDITION:
Exceptional. The blued finish is 85%. There is no rust and no pitting. The handle is exceptional. The sheath is 98% at least.
